See what people are saying about Prestige Estates
It was a difficult time losing our Mom suddenly and knowing that our Dad was having trouble maintaining in their large home, yet we also knew it was time for change. We researched places to live and after interviewing and touring, we decided on Prestige Estates. It was an easy decision after meeting the staff ad seeing the facility. There was an immediate sense of warmth and security. We were totally at ease moving our father, a retired professional, grieving the loss of his wife, and just recovering from knee surgery! The minute we “wheeled” him into his room, he broke into tears. He felt completely enveloped in love. He was surrounded by “his things” from home as his little apartment was decorated from the heart. The staff greeted him and helped to settle him into his new place. The kindness and caring has continued from that first day. We feel especially blessed to have found Prestige Estates! I could write a book.
We have been so pleased with the kind and caring attitude of all employees-management and caregivers alike. I love that there is not a high turnover of caregivers and Mother is comfortable with them all. I have told many of my friends and acquaintances that they should not hesitate to look into assisted living for either themselves or their loved ones. You can keep as much independence as is safely possible- all you lose is the work and loneliness associated with living alone.
Prestige offered a home-like atmosphere, it was a little smaller and more family-like. The staff was friendlier, the menu more varied, the facility better maintained. The family can rest easy knowing they are well cared for!
The experience of living here one and a half years has exceeded my expectations and more than justified the title “prestige”. Excellent location, beautiful facility inside and out, good value. At age 91, who could ask more for life to continue being meaningful! Proud to live here.
Visited 5 places. This was the best. Dear personnel, activities, the beauty of this place, food here, wonderful friends. Retired RN, happy to live here.
They have a lot of activities for the residents which keeps them active. Prestige is the best choice for the Tyler Area.
After my dad fell and broke his hip and my mother passed away, there was no way my father could go home and live without constant care. His home was in Jacksonville and my sister and I live here in Tyler and wanted him to be near us. So we had heard at the nursing home how good Prestige Estates was. After visiting and speaking to the staff, we decided it was where we wanted my dad to live. We were very fortunate there was an apartment available and we were allowed for him to become a resident. I really feel there is no other place in Tyler that could be any better for my dad to live. He also feels at home and is glad he lives here also. We are so grateful to have found Prestige Estates and want to thank everyone working here for their wonderful care and attention they give to my dad.
We moved my mother into the Memory Care unit there at PE because they had fewer residents, and a larger staff. We knew she would get the personal attention that she would need, and we wanted for her. We visited the majority of AL and MC places when we first started this journey. We started my mother out with Independent Living, and had to make several moves as her dementia progressed. My favorite things are absolutely all of the staff in the MC unit, and Christine McCrary. The staff has been absolutely wonderful with my mother, and the other residents. I have been there all hours of the day, and have always thought of how great the residents are treated. They never question my concerns, but act on them. Christine has been a life savior for me with this journey my mother has with this ugly disease of Dementia. She has seen my cry more than a few times, and doesn’t hesitate to listen and help me with my questions and apprehensions. They all treat the residents with respect and dignity.
